Five years ago, I left London and moved to Oulu — a leap into the unknown that became one of the most meaningful chapters of my career.
In 2020 and 2021, I helped shape Oulu’s bid to become European Capital of Culture 2026. I told the city’s story through videos that reached hundreds of thousands, sparking international attention and helping Oulu win the title.
Since then, I’ve continued supporting Oulu from the outside — organising press trips, connecting journalists, and watching with pride as the city appears on “top destinations for 2026” lists around the world.
Now, as the culture year begins, I’m filled with gratitude.
Grateful for the people I worked with, the stories we told, and the city that welcomed me so openly.
